Get a nylon bore brush, a 3" rod, and some chrome polish. Apply a bit of polish inside the tube with a Q-tip then spin the brush in it using a low-speed hand drill. Works great, very low abrasion. About 10 seconds usually gets the tubes sprkling clean.
