chamber polisher??

to me the most devastating malfunction is an empty shell stuck in the chamber. it has happened to me with shotguns and .22s. anyone make a tool that would polish the inside of the chamber? handguns, shotguns, rifles.
 
Technique/tool for polishing the chamber is totally dependant on the gun you are working on. For an open breech type of gun (bolt action, break-open shotgun, etc.) a bore mop affixed to a drill and some polishing compound works just fine. On the other hand, a closed breech type of firearm is going to take some creativity.

No more creative than a coated rod run through from the muzzle end and attaching the bore mop from the action end. ;)
 
Brian, you're right about the technique. I didn't want to confuse the poor fellow too much. I do take it one step further though. I use a length of plastic tubing (even a soda straw will work in most calibers) as a buffer between the rod and the muzzle.
