Chamber or not.

I'm used to carrying a 1911, safety on, one in the pipe. Now I have a Guardian .380 for summer carry, no safeties, 10 lb pull every shot. First of all, it's basically a pocket gun, a much slower presentation than the .45 (strong side hip carry). Add to that having to work the slide to put a round in the chamber and you're talking an eternity compared to the .45.

The 10 lb pull is basically the safety measure. That, and the pocket hoster that covers the trigger guard. So the question: Would you carry one in the chamber?

I agree w/ ENC. As long as the pistol is properly holstered & the trigger guard is protected, I see no problems w/ pocket carry w/ a round chambered.

That Is Why I Carry A Sig-

With it's DA first shot capeability, I can safely carry my P220
with a full magazine with one up the pipe; and the hammer
down. :) :D I recommend them highly-

One in the chamber, absolutely. You may have to fend somebody off while you're drawing your pocket gun, and you may not have the second hand available.

Used to carry my .32 Guardian with one in the chamber all the time, never had it go *bang* when it wasn't supposed to.

Thanks, gents. I feel much better about it. When I first started carrying, it took awhile to get comfortable with Condition 1. Now it's the only way I feel comfortable. A pocket semi-automatic was new to me and I'm grateful for your input.
