The issue of rimlock in the P-32 is what brought on this diatribe, but it applies to any semi rimmed caliber.
I've been wondering for some time why magazine manufacturers haven't risen to the occasion and developed a hollow point magazine which has a steel strip attached to the floorplate, running up the front of the magazine flat nosed follower and spring which is wound to fit inside the strip?
All that it would take for the Kel Tek p32 would be a .3 inch wide strip of steel slotted into the floorplate so it would run in front of the shells. It could be detached for use with regular ammo. The spring would just have to be wound on a mandrel with a squared off front side instead of the rounded front side, a simple retooling. The follower could just have a flat nose.
