Chalk bullets?

I'm watching this program on the History Channel about Fort Knox. They are talking about Marines doing urban combat training. They mentioned and showed that the Marines are using real rounds, but with chalk bullets instead of lead, so that they can really fire at people, and leave a mark. They're normal rounds apparently, just with a bullet made of blue chalk.

Are these chalk bullet available anywhere to buy?

These sound similiar to simunition ammo using chalk as opposed to bullets loaded with colored detergent. People still die from simunition training.

nada

Ok some sim rounds can be fatal but the conditions for this to happen are highly unlikely to take place. we were all shot with these rounds going through basic and nobody was hurt.

They hurt like hell if you get hit in the arm with them. I don't know where you can buy them though. You would need a new buffer assembly, upper, and magazine even if you could find them. They're more of a 9mm paintball than a real bullet.

I've seen 37mm sim rounds similar to the rounds we used in our 40mm M203's on the civi market, but never the rifle sim rounds or even the rifle parts.
