CFE Pistol

Well, I went to buy Longshot and this was what they had. Any comments, reviews, favorite loads for CFE Pistol?

It is the only pistol powder I have for 9mm. I got into reloading during the shortage a few years back and ran into a bunch of this. I never felt like I needed to go to anything else. It meters like a champ. There has been the observation that it burns cleaner under a hotter load, all I ever find is a little soot.

I run 4.9gr under a 124gr plated rn and it shoots well.

+1 on Indawind's post

I have been using it for 9mm for over a year. The 125gr coated LCN are most accurate at 5 grains (1144fps), while RN (1121 fps) and JHP (1113 fps) seem to be the most accurate at 4.7 grains in my guns.

My biggest gripe is that I can only find it in 1 pound containers.

I'm using it for .38 spl, 9mm, and .45 acp and seems to be accurate. As indawind said, it prefers the hotter loadings but lighter loads are not too dirty, it probably wouldn't be my first choice for powder puff loads. I'm getting good results using the loads Hodgsdon recommends. Start low, it builds pressure fairly quickly. Meters great in the Lee Autodrum, haven't seen many reviews, thought I was the only one using it!

It isn't a magical powder ... just one that works like others in it's class. Have loads worked up for all the cartridges I shoot (.32 H&R Mag, .357, .44Spec, .44Mag, .45 Colt). Good powder.
