Century Arms SAS12?...

My dad just kicked me a Century Arms SAS12 shotgun the other day. He said somebody owed him some money and they gave him this scatter-gun to settle the debt. He didn't like the looks of it, so he laid on me. Gratis.

The danged thing's uglier'n a mud fence - clip-fed 12 gauge with 2 mags (one 3-rnd and one 5-rnd). Matte black. It says "Made in China by XIN SHI DAI".

I took it out and fired off a box of 7 shot I had and a few 00 bucks through it without any problems. Just haven't ever heard of 'em before.

The dude only owed pop like fifty bucks or something, so hell, it seemed like he did okay on the trade-out (although I'm sure dad woulda rather had the money).

So, I guess I'm wonderin' if any of y'all have one or have any opinions (high or low) of them. Also wouldn't mind knowin' if a man could shoot slugs through this thing.

How tight is the choke? How can I tell? A dime slid sideways in the barrel fits snug. Is that a "full" choke?

Thanks,

Like I said, with a box of 50 #7 shot and about 10-12 00-Bucks through it, not a problem so far. Feeds shells fine, ejects them fine, pattern's pretty tight at about 10 yards. Can't really gripe much about it, seeing as how I have basically nothing in it (moneywise). Just wondering about these slugs, should I fire them through this gun or not?
Probably would make a decent home defense gun if it weren't for that bulky magazine hanging off it's belly.
