Centerpoint scopes

What do you guys think about these? I have one on my Mossberg ATR 30-06 and it looks sweet. I havent went out shooting with it but will tomorrow. It was kinda an impulse buy but for $69 I couldnt pass up.

I have an NcStar, bought for price, $49. Clear as a bell, I love the mil-dot recticle and it's a piece of junk. It was replaced with a $139 Simmons shotgun scope and the recticle spun. The gunshop replaced it and the jury is still out on the new one. This is on a Marlin 1894.

Rem. 700 SPS in .243 came with a WallyWorld BSA scope. POA changed with every shot, replaced with Nikon and now shooting sub-MOA.

Rem. 742 in 30-06 came with a Bushnell Sportview, saw one for $36 on the web. Shot cloverleafs @ 50 yds. and ran out of adjustment @ 200. Works great on the Win. 75 in .22 LR @ 100 yds.

As always, you get what you pay for and I'm the king of inexpensive.

need lower price scopes

I have been having good luck with Sportsmensguide. They've been around a long time and have bunches of scopes, demos, NIB, closeout, NRA specials. I'm making do with budget scopes till I can get something nice like a Nikon. I shoot a .270 with a BSA Cateye and have not had problems with it.

I've never even heard of Centerpoint scopes, so I'll decline to comment on that one, but I do believe that if yer gonna go cheap a fixed power scope has less to go southbound with. A better solution is to buy something that has positive review already. With the internet offering reviews on anything and everything the consumer should be armed with adequate information before they buy.
