Actually, Kel-Tec's competitor for the Beretta Tomcat is the P32.

I've got a P11, and it's a good gun. I'm not all that accurate with it due to the DAO trigger, but of the 100 rounds I've put through mine I haven't had a jam or misfire yet.

While I've never shot the Tomcat, my Beretta 92 is the most reliable gun there is. I'm not going to draw the same conclusion to the Tomcat, as I've had lots of trouble with my friend's Jetfire (granted, he doesn't clean it too often.... or ever).

I don't know what other kind of guns you own, but I find that owning smaller guns makes it much easier for me to carry on a regular basis.

All my pistols so far, are all large auto's, and revolvers.I was looking for something to use while wearing shorts, and a shirt.

Should I get a KT p-11, or a Beretta .32 Tomcat for warm weather carry (legally).[/quote]

I have a Beretta Tomcat.
It's a nice little pistol (watch those slide bites though...it's nipped me more then once!).
I originally bought it for the wife, but she decided not to carry. Thought about selling it, but it is very concealable...I can carry it with little regard for dress.
So far, no jams...
I like the single or double action options. When I do carry it, there's always one in the tube.
I do reccomend getting the stainless version (BTW, the "steel" version's frame is aluminum, so little corrosion worries there). The stainless just gives you that extra protection against rust in more adverse climes.
Never fired a Kel-tec.

Actually in many ways the Keltec P-11 and Tomcat are in the same class. They`re both about the same unloaded weight, both about the same thickness (Tomcat is thicker) the P-11 is just FAR more powerul and holds much more ammo. You could almost carry 2 P-32s for the weight and thickness of a Tomcat. I`d go for a P-11,satin hardchrome finish with the Keltec belt clip. Eliminating the bulk of a holster with the belt clip makes the P-11 carry as easily as a .25 that`s in a holster. I`ve been carrying mine with the clip for years and I love it. I have about 5000rds. through my P-11 with no probs. or jams. That`s hard to beat. :D Marcus

Marcus: I was thinking comparison in terms of caliber, but you make an excellent point. Sizewise, the P11 and Tomcat aren't that far apart. Touche!

Have both. Carry the Kel Tec, not the Tom Cat. It's a chunky piece, heavy, and will bite you. However, the flip barrel is nice as it takes considerable effort to rack the slide. If I had it to do over, I wouldn't have a Tom Cat. The P-32 is MUCH better for a deep cover piece. And yes, the P-11 isn't much larger than the Tom Cat.
