I sure hope the poor ol guy does not get sued.

You think the patrons or cafe mgmt will see Samuel Williams? On what grounds???? With SYG laws, I know you aren't talking about the robbers suing him.

".357, leaves nothing behind to sue!"
This makes absolutely no sense for the situation or in real life.

I'm curious about one aspect,,,

The old boy showed real guts in my opinion,,,
But he did one thing that I thought might have gotten him charged.

He kept firing when the two robbers were in hot retreat.

Now don't get me wrong,,,
I'm all for giving the old boy a medal,,,
But I was also waiting for the DA to say something like,,,
As soon as the two robbers started to flee the scene he should have stopped firing.

Maybe it was because there was no pause in the action of the event.

The BG was already complaining that he got shot in the butt while on the ground. Yes I am concerned the BG will bring a civil suit against Mr Williams.

I didn't know I was a late comer to this story or the issues the Moderators had with it. Lock it, or make it go away or I can delete the OP if that is what the Mods would like.

No, it would be because the robber with the gun still had the gun in his hand, right up to the end of the video when he exited stage right. Review the video -- I have watched it several times to verify this for myself.

{Armed robber w/ weapon in hand} = {active, viable threat}

The robber must have known that his pistol was inoperative, but there's no way the victims could have known that. Moral: Don't want to get shot? Don't point guns at people.
