CCW: Where to put extra mags

OK for you folks that CCW and carry extra mags, do you carry your mags in your pocket(s), or on your belt? In or outside of the waistband?
 
I carry on a belt outside the waistband. I know I can always get to them. In a pocket they might get stuck when I need to get to them.
 
Go any pawn shop/sporting goods store and see if they have belt scabbards for knifes. I carry a Kahr mag in a Gerger scabbard..fits like a glove. A 3rd in my front left pocket....

fav carry mode, at least this year ;) , is OWB, behind off hip, in a forbus paddle mag holder (beretta, glock, sig)

somtimes is a fitted suit, i'll drop the mag into a pocket i have inside the coat's outside pocket (hk p7)
 
Kahr K40 mag as backup to the MK40 in a Kramer horse hide mag holder in my front pocket.

Double stack extra mag(s) go in a Kramer single or double belt slide mag holder.
 
Galco double magazine pouch. Comfortable, secure, easy to access, and keeps the magazines a lot more protected than they are in a pocket. Most pockets seem to contain things I wouldn't want in my CCW magazines.

well...if the IWB holster isn't uncomfortable enough, the addition of the IWB mag pouch might just push it over the line.

of course this is from an old guy with a bad back...but even back in the day when i carried my commander in a milt sparks summer special i still wore my mags OWB...they were mighty sharp :eek:
