CCW Reciprocity Question

I currently hold a Georgia CCW license, and I am moving to Florida next month. I know that Florida honors Georgia Resident Permits, but I am unclear as to whether or not I could use my GA permit after I move. I still would have a permanent address in GA, but would be living and working in FL. I plan to get my FL permit, but I've been told it can take up to 3 months to get, plus I have to take a special class that I don't have a lot of time for. Does anyone know the answer to my situation?

As long as your permanent address is in GA, your GA firearms license will be fine in FL. If you're planning on getting a FL driver's license, voting in FL, etc., then your GA firearms license won't be any good in FL.

class time????

as a fl ccw person....it is scarey...I am former LEO...trained...but theclass for ccw here is three hours...no test...no shoot...pay 30 dollars for class appximately..if you have honorable discharge from us military...class is waived....pay 25 dollars for picture..prints...pay appx 160 dollars for permit....5 years before renewal...your ccw is issued and signed by state commissioner....get this CHARLES BRONSON....this is not a joke...COBRA..just fyi
