CCW reciprocity between GA and Tx

I have a Press advisory from the Attorney General of Ga dated 9/11/1998 that states that my Ga CCW permit is good in Tejas. Can anyone verify this? Also, any of my old friends from Frankilin's gunstore give me a holler.

Thumper, near as I can figure out from the Concealed Carry Database, Georgia honors Texas licenses but Texas does not honor Georgia's. We only honor Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arizona at this time. Check this site for info on all states: http://www.packing.org/

Better ask Georgia. Their law assumes that for reciprocity the other state recognizes
them.

TX doesn't recognize GA if I recall. GA thought they did. But then GA might have pulled TX off the list.

The best way to check is to call the GA State AG or go to the state page.

If this is outdated, please correct me.

Going through the list of press releases of the Georgia AG, the only thing pertinent to this thread is the PR stating reciprocity with Florida, which also shows Texas on the list. There is no PR taking away reciprocity with Texas.

Definitely a good Website.
