CCW: Glock 26 vs. Kahr Mk9

Thinking about picking up a small gun for concealed carry.

These are the two guns my local gun store has that I am interested in.

Glock 26 w/2-10 round mags, extended mag. release, 3.5lb trigger
and night sights. In excellent condition for $485.

Kahr MK9 w/2-6 round mags and nite sights. Also excellent condition
for $465.

Which of these guns would you trust your life to? which is easier
carry? Are these good prices?

My main purpose will be CCW, I do not want to even try carrying a full
size gun. If you'd suggest another compact gun, please tell me why.

Guns I don't want: Kel-tec P11, Taurus P?, Makarov's, etc.

Thanks,
Steve

Pros and cons. You'll have to decide what works for you. Both will be reliable and accurate.

The Glock has a higher capacity, is lighter when unloaded (though about the same when loaded), and has a shorter trigger stroke. The Glock is also significantly thicker, and has that Glock crunchy, creepy, sproing in the trigger. I hate Glock triggers, but lots of folks like them.

The Kahr MK9 is significantly thinner. I can carry my MK9 in a pocket holster in the front pocket of my jeans. I can't do that with a Glock 26 because it's a thick little bugger.

If I carried a Glock 26, I'd have to carry it in a belt holster. And if I was wearing a belt holster, I could just as easily carry something the size of a Glock 19. So for me, the Kahr MK9 fits a niche (pocket gun), but the Glock 26 does not. YMMV.

M1911

M1911 pretty much nailed it. For a concealed carry both guns have considerable merit. The Kahr is more concealable and is suitable for pocket carry. The Glock is ALOT thicker but is still
excellent for IWB carry. Both are the pinacle of dependability.
Capacity is a big difference, but is easily made up for with extra mags. I carry a K40 and 2 extra mags...just in case.

Rough choice...if size or lack of it matters, buy the Kahr. You wont regret either gun...

Shoot well

I would trust either gun. I had a Glock 26 and have a Kahr MK40. Both are excellent guns.
It comes down to personal choice. Which is more important to you? High capacity or slimness?
