Hello all:
Recently recieved my Concealed license and having been tryong different holsters and guns. I have a Taurus model 85 in 9mm that i bought about two months ago, just because 9mm is cheap and with hollowpoints are effective. I have a inside the pants holster and it seems that no wear i put it it still prints. I am in Texas its quite hot here and I normally wear jeans or shorts with a t shirt. I am about 6'00 about 280 big guy. Any one have any ideas on how to carry better and comfortably. Are there any other ways to carry that i am not thinking of. Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Taurus 605.

The holster is a Bianchi Black Widow carried under a loose t-shirt.

It's hot here in Arizona too!!

When I carry my M85, I use a simple IWB holster and wear covering clothes. But, here in Atlanta, heat is an issue and in Summer I'm usually not wearing the best concealment clothes. It is those times I swithced to my Keltec P32 with a pocket clip. I can even wear it with gym shorts.

One of these days I'll be middle aged enough to wear a photo / safari vest.

Ok, no wise-ass remarks...I carry a M85 Ultra-Lite in a fanny pack on my hip. I have a very official looking brochure that I keep folded and sticking out the pocket for my wallet. When out of the car I also clip my cell phone on it.

It is comfortable. Maine isn't exactly a warm state, however the summer temps run 85 to 90 right through the end of August...And, I'm old! That helps a little.

I use a Bianchi KO fannypack for my Taurus 85. I also use a pocket holster with the correct style pants as well. What I like about the KO pack is there are no retention straps to hold the gun in position. Instead it uses a wet suit type material to hold the gun in place. The gun is inserted in a slot with only the butt exposed. Zip it up and when trouble arises pull the rip cord and draw your gun. Very fast and easy.
