What is the sequence in which one applies for a CCL in Texas?
do i register online first? then do i wait for the paperwork to come back before applying for classes? and the once I complete the class I send the paperwork back?
Most instructors provide the packets to fill out for the aplication. They also provide pasport photos. Take the class, fill out the paperwork, have a money order for payment properly adressed, mail it in, and then you wait.

IIRC, none of the instructors I used provided the actual "application form".
That has to come from the State, as it is numbered, not transferable, and
not "copy-acceptable". They would provide the fingerprint cards,
passport photos, study manuals, and even did the fingerprinting in one
case.
But every time I took the test, I was told by the instructor to get
the application package from DPS before I came to the class.
Besides, you really need the study manual they send you to bone
up on the "do's and don't's" before you take the class.
