CCI no. 550 small pistol magnum primers

While digging thru some stuff earlier I found a red white and blue box of these primers. Price marked as $1. Either I've got to get into reloading or this is a old box of primers. My wife may have somehow mixed part of my father's and grandfather's collection in with my stuff because in the same drawer I found a old box of alcan shotgun ammo. Just curious if I need to throw this out in the creek or give it to some reloading buddies?

Age doesnt seem to hurt primers. Give them to a reloader. Water will NOT kill a primer. After it dries, it will fire.
 
"...throw this out in the creek..." Never into the creek. Use 'em or give 'em to somebody.
Alcan shotgun ammo hasn't been made since 1971. Might be collector stuff.
 
You can toss them into the creek. If you do, choose the creek behind my house and let me know where you toss them. Please keep them in the box. Wouldn't want the trout to eat individual primers...

Use 'em and shoot 'em!
