CCI .22 Ammo Boxes

Jack,
I have lots of them (guess that says something about my .22LR addiction; 40 gr. MiniMag solids preferred). However, I recycle them whenever I buy bricks of other brands (Federal Target Match and Federal Lightning, both 40 gr. solid preferred). If it's any consolation, WalMart in these parts is the primary CCI outlet; the 100 ct. boxes are $6.99 (full).

Funny how people are about packaging. I actually prefer the cardboard/paper boxes as they are smaller and take up less room in your pocket if you carry them. The 100 round boxes are too big for me and the 50 round plastic boxes are okay. They all rattle an awful lot.

If you want these, I personally would just buy a couple full ones in the size you prefer and begin to re-fill them with different ammo as you use it. But the ones linked above from Nachez should work and are re-usable.

Yep. But, I usually go one step further, and just dump the box in my pocket.
At that point, the cardboard/paper boxes become much smaller, since I can fold them up, break them down, crumple them up, and/or stash them away. ;)

The CCI (and similar) plastic boxes annoy me. ...But I do a lot of hiking and mobile rabbit/squirrel hunting. For some one that does most of their rimfire shooting from a bench, or their back porch; the CCI boxes could make more sense.

I don't like them for holding ammo but take out the perforated plastic insert and they make dandy small parts boxes (both 50, and 100 rd.).

I just picked up a belt pouch that I can dump an entire bulk pack into and use out of. But I sure wish it had a top flap.

I seldom dump my boxes into my pocket when hunting. I don't shoot that many rounds and I don't like the loose rounds afterwards. The rounds get dirt, pocket lint and other stuff on them, not to mention they get in the way of my pocket knife.
