CC Certificates...

I had thought that the state's Concealed Carry program would spend a bit of their money on the actual certificate itself; after appplying myself several months ago here in the Old Dominion I finally received my certificate in the mail and it looks like something a 5th grader created... I mean this paper thing looks pathetic! Since I paid $40+ court and application time I envisioned something a bit more grand along the lines of a driver's license or something similiar... but the CC cert looks like a slip of paper one might jot a thought...It's actually approximately the same size as those sticky office notes... What a let down...

:(

The Utah card is the same size as the driver's license, plastic with a holographic film laminated over the data.

The Chesterfield Circuit Court-issued CHP I got is the size of a business card. It wasn't even laminated. The new size has been stipulated by the VA state code. BTW, I went to Kinko's and got it laminated for $1.43, it rides behind my DL.

Camp David, I just reread you post. Several months? State law says a max 45 days wait from when you file the paperwork. My friend's from Fairfax County and his took 41 days, mine took 12.

Our NH license is a carbonless duplicate slip, that's too big to fit in one's wallet without folding it up.

Guess then they forgot mine for a couple months! I submitted my application back in November to Court; on the 10th w/ Fairfax Court, with check. Just received it; i.e., small piece of paper! I really couldn't care less, but the certificate looks like a post-it note!

You should get it laminated, so the paper doesn't get damaged in your wallet. It's an official document and probably valid for a few years; lots of wear and tear.

Kentucky produces a nice drivers license size card. Picture and home address included but oddly enough, you also have to carry your drivers license with you at all times. Not having your CCW license with you when packing is a fine. Not having your drivers license and packing even if you have your CCW license is a fine. Go figure.
