CBS vs. GWB

Tonight's Blather report was amazing in its unremitting attack on Bush. First, GW got blamed for provoking the upcoming recession by mentioning the possibility (no mention of Greenspan's remarks). Then a parade of blacks expressing their distrust and dislike of GW, accompanied by lots of Bob Jones University footage. Next, some skeptical smirking about his cabinet appointments. Finally, a trumpeting of a Clinton Administration attempt to increase medical privacy, but noting that it could be undone by GW when he takes power.

It's been a long time since I watched CBS "news", and now I know why. What a disgraceful excuse for journalism.

This is why they invented remote contol of the TV. A well trained couch potato would just change the channel. Ehhh gads, it's Peter Jennings. May the aliens take me to their planet:)

Bryon, ABC had the exact same format - Bob Jones footage, black guy panning GWB's "token" (his words) cabinet appointments, sky-is-falling man-in-the-street interviews with people of color, disapproving looks from the anchorman. They're not even trying to hide it anymore. The Democrat Party is writing the exact same script for all three networks. I gotta get cable just so I can get Fox News. -- Kernel

And what is funny is the stockholders of these company's have not figured out what has happened to their market share and profits.... seems they are going to fox...

Am I mistaken, or was it not Dan Rather who got EXTREMELY rude and combative with George H. Bush over his alleged involvement in the Iran-Contra affair a few years ago?

IIRC, Rather basically said, in the middle of the interview "Well, if you're not willing to answer my questions, we're done here" and ended the interview.

The guy has a SERIOUSLY over-inflated opinion as to his actual role in society.

The funny thing is that Rather is supposed to be the most friendly towards Bush. Rather hated George H.W. Bush but has indicated that he actually likes George W. Bush.

Did anybody happen to catch 60 Minutes II the other night? Blather interviewed Bill, what a waste of flesh both those guys are. Bill just would never admit his boy lost the election. He said two or three times that "one candidate won the popular vote, and the other won the Supreme Court decision". I think when the camera had a closeup on Bill, Blather was probably on his knees doing a Monica to him. I really think these guys are in love. After about 10 minutes of watching this I went to the bathroom and vomited, came back out and shot my television set. It was a good set and had served me well. But I felt it my duty to put it out of it's misery after being stained so many times with their image. I just don't think it would have ever recovered.

Wouldn't you just love to drag either (or both) these guys out and kick their ass. I would.

It isn't just CBS. Some blow-dried blowhard on MSNBC this morning was talking about how bad the "Bush economy" is. Bush economy? His inauguration is almost a month away, and the stock markets have been reeling all year. Look for the media to blame Bush for the markets if they don't rally. Don't look for the media to blame Clinton/Reno for busting up Microsoft, which didn't help the markets one bit.

The above is why I gave up on tv.
Now it's World Net News, Infowars.com, BBC for the international perspective, and occasionally National Public Radio mainly for what the opposition is doing.
"Shoot,move,communicate!"

If anyone asks me about the economy, I'm going to start talking about the coming "Clinton-Gore recession", and how GW's tax cuts might, just might, save us all. :)

GW needs to start some pre-emptive propaganda, and calling this the "Clinton-Gore economic slow-down" is one way to do it.

Bam,

That went right over my head....BTW, that isn't very hard to do. If it's an insult, it's a goodun, cause I've got no clue.

Talk Back to 'Em!

Get over to http://www.cbs.com, click "news", click feedback and tell 'em you don't like their obvious bias. Do it EVERY TIME you see a biased report. Tell your friends to do so. Do the same for NBC, ABC, too. If enough of us do it, all the time, eventually we'll wear 'em down! Their ratings are continously slipping, they ignore us to their own detriment.

Hey there Muleshoe, what is showing? My age (creak, creak) and wisdom or your youth and inexperience? Guess I should have called our friend "Danny-boy" Kenneth so as you would get the joke. Anyways, the only media I believe is WBEN 930 AM and the Weekly World News. I knew Bush had the election all sewn up when the alien endorsed him. Yup, forget the NRA, the crucial swing vote was the readership of the esteemed font of Truth-In-Media, the WEEKLY WORLD NEWS!!

Bam, it's been a couple decades since I've been called or even felt young, thanks. Inexperience? I guess that depends on in what.

I do kinda remember "Danny-boy" taking a beating from someone, but don't recall the particulars. Must be that youth thing creepin' up on me, eh? Doesn't seem like it was 14 years ago. I reckon it's time for another.
