CBC/Brazil Ammo - anyone familiar?

CBC stands for "Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos", a very large manufacturer in Brazil, supplier of their armed forces and police. Up to about early 1990's it was marketed worlwide under the CBC brand, but (at least in USA) it has changed to the more politically correct MRP or "Magtech Recreational Products". It is good ammo, and if is FMJ, probably is mil-spec 147gr., berdan primed.

Good thing you've got 1976 date stamps. They recalled the 1975 run because a batch got loaded with pistol powder by mistake.

If anyone has 1975 date-stamped CBC rifle ammo, the best thing to do is pull the bullets and dump the powder - it makes good fertilizer. Then reload with your regular rifle powder.

Thanks Ruben and Strayhorn...

I had seen the warning on the 1975 recall and thought for a moment I got caught. Then re-read my datestamp.
