Caspian Titanium, Cast Steel or Barstock?

Looking at starting up a 10mm project, looking for a lower to place a Delta Elite upper on. What is your preference on a project where cost IS a factor?

I'm leaning towards the Titanium, for some weight savings, as this gun might see some carry time.

Any input is appreciated, this will be the first time I have a gun built up.

Take a look at the Caspian section over at 1911forum.com. Gary Smith, the guy who runs (owns?) Caspian, says that they have fewer problems with the cast frames than any other and personally recommends going with the cast frame. There is a pretty new thread there with some debate on it.

Thanks for the tip, great info at the link you provided. I wasn't aware that Caspian had a forum there.

I went with a Cast Carbon steel frame on the majority of recomendations, for my 10mm project.
