Caspian High Capacity 1911 Frame - PLEASE HELP

Hello Everyone,

How thick is the grip on Caspian's high capacity 1911 frame compared to other high capacity frames like the Para-Ordinance and the Kimber Polymer?

Does anyone have some exact figures to compare?

Thanks for the help.

Hey Anthony..

It has been a long time since I had one of these...If I remember..They are a little smaller in the width, but feel a little longer in the front to back dimension.. I had my frontstrap checkered which made it feel a lot smaller and putting skateboard tape on instead of the grips made it feel great...the mags are smaller..the rounds stack differerently than the Para or STI..so that is why if you see a 45 or 40 conversion of the Caspian..it won't hold as many rounds as the others..

somewhere there is an old handgunner that measures the para, caspian and the old p9...i'll see if I can find it down in my basement..if I recall it isn't much..but the frames do feel different..

eerw,

Thank you so much for going to the extra effort to find that American Handgunner.

If you do, please give me the month and date. I doubt I have it, but you never know.

I'll be watching here for your information.
