Thanks to W.T. Anderson for the lead on the cased 2nd Gen Pocket Police. Made an offer that was accepted & now I have all four of the 2nd Generation Colt 1 of 500 limited edition cased revolvers. Here's a pictures of the four of them:

The 1860 Army came with walnut grips like the other 3 models when new. The original purchaser changed them over to ivory. I've got the walnut grips to put back on them if necessary; but it really looks good with the ivory (ok........it's faux ivory).

All four have (had) a key, the baby dragoon key wasn't in the case when I took the picture for some reason. I need to look around for it. It may be in the packing box still. The key is to lock the case.

That's pretty sweet man. I just got my first C & B, an 1858 Rem from Cabela's that will by my Christmas present from my wife. I'm pretty excited, and I hope once I get a presentation case for it, it looks as good as yours do. Really nice looking collection.

Horseman308,
My wife gave me an 1858 Remington NMA C&B on July 5th this year. She thought I'd just hang it on a wall somewhere. I've now shot over 700 lead balls through her (my revolver, not my wife). Don't rob yourself of the fun of shooting the gun!

I have no intention of letting it sit and gather dust. I'll have it out to show off and stuff, but it was made to shoot, and shooting it is what I'll do.

Glad you all like them. It took a while to acquire all of them.

Horseman, Welcome to the darkside. Once you start shooting the Remmie, you'll want more...... and more...... and more. The more you shoot it, the harder it will be for the smile on your face to go away.

Beautiful collection Fingers and the condition of the sets look immaculate.
Now be honest, what do you think about the color of the felt that's lining the cases?
Is it as pleasing as some of the other colors that you've seen with other sets?

They're all near perfect on the inside. The BS/TGs arent even tarnished. The velvet in the 1860 and Pocket Police havs a couple flat spots but they're not really noticeable; and the outside of the cases all have dings and scratches. You'd be kinda scratched up too if you'd been hanging around for 27 years.

I'm not too sure about the gold color of the velvet. I think I prefer the Tyrol Red of the early 2nd Gen cases, or even the dark red/burgandy that you see in period cases.

There's a Baby Dragoon set and 1860 set on Gunbroker right now. The opening bids are a little higher than I'd want to pay; but are not outrageous. The Buy Now price on the dragoon is a little under book value.

For some odd reason, the Baby Dragoons and 1860's pop up more often than the two pocket models; but they have a higher book value.
