case idea?

I have an Oehler chronograph with the 24inch spacer rod. The overall length of the sensors on the spacer is 26 inches. I wanted to find a case to carry it in without taking it apart. I have not been able to find a long enough toolbox to put it in. Any better ideas?

Why not just make a takedown spacer rod. Thread two lengths of rod together. You can get threaded couplings from any hardware store in the nut & bolts section. TF
