I've repeatedly heard repeated from sources that at least SHOULD be knowledgeable on the subject, that carrying a concealed firearm on the T is illegal. However, I have not been able to turn up any evidence of this being the case at all. I don't see it on the MBTA website, and the only Massachusetts general law I can find on the subject of where you can't bring a gun is for schools.
Is there any merit to the claim, or is it just more misinformed tripe? If there IS any merit to it, is it a matter of "They can kick you off the T for it", or a matter of "They can arrest you and bring you up on charges for it"?
