Carry concerns

Hi Everyone, I'm a frequent lurker and an shy poster; and I have a question for all of you.
I'm going to be camping starting on Tuesday at a campground just outside a National Park. We plan to hike in and around the park for the rest of the week. My other companions are also women, but do not own or use guns. Having already made the decision to take responsibilty for my own safety a few years ago, I plan to carry. I'm concerned about the park restrictions, however, knowing that guns are restricted. Take my gun, but lock it in the car when we're in the park? Any other options that are legal??
Thanks.

Carry...but carry discretely

The only thing that I can say is this: You get into "trouble" either being a wild animal or some people on the run... what would you have? A gun in the car or a gun on YOU?. Federal law makes it easy to be a victem, but doesn't allow you to "take care of your own". So, in retrospect, it's going to be up to the individual. Do what you have to do... just don't talk about it.

Besides, once a gun is out of your direct control... it is out of your control!

If ever I am compelled to leave my gun in the car it is disassembled and scattered all about, and some vital piece goes with me.

However, in your situation I would practice discretion in whatever you decide to do.

I would carry anyway. And I don't apologize about it.
