Carried the full size 1911...

Yesterday I left the Kahr MK9 at home and went out carrying the 5" Springfield. This was the first time I had every carried such a large handgun concealed. Used a Dillon Desert Special IWB and it disappeared. I was wearing a T-shirt and an open untucked shirt over it. I was hhard pressed to find it in the mirror.
The feeling was quite different being able to carry the larger artillery...
Perhaps the case for mini-guns is being overstated.

No, the case still stands.

Sometimes I carry a 5.5" Redhawk, or perhaps a 4" GP100 or 1911 or full-size Witness.....

.....but some circumstances require a more certain discretion, so a PT22 is all that works (not including the 'always').

First rule: "Have a gun"

"All my ammo is factory ammo"

I carry a full size 1911 everyday iwb. At first it was awful heavy after carrying a Sig P228 for awhile. After buying a good 1 1/2" belt, a Rosen ARG DL AND carrying it everyday, I didn't even notice the weight.

I have never understood why people thought the 1911 was too heavy to carry. Too large for some purposes, but too heavy???

You have to be there when it's all over. Otherwise you can't say "I told you so."

Better days to be,
