Carbon 15

I just bought a Bushmaster Carbon 15 with a stainless barrel. I didn't do too bad on it. Do any of y'all own one of these? Are they accurate? Do they have problems? I probably won't shoot more than 500 rounds a year through it and mainly wanted it as a new truck/kick around gun.

They are plenty good enough for your intended purpose. They will shoot well enough that you shouldn't be upset about the purchase though I must say, I'd recommend answering these kinds of questions before making a purchase. I don't know what you'd do if everyone came in here and told you it was a heap of crap.

For what I paid, I really wouldn't care :cool:

Just wanted to know how those who had one felt about it.

They are not bad at all, but for the same or less money, I would have bought a S&W M&P 15 Sport.

Around here:
Carbon15 = $699 - Polymer
M&P15 Sport = $649 - Aluminum

But, you said you got a heck of a deal so sounds like you did very good.

Great toys to play with, bought this one for $599.00 and spent anouther $170.00 on it.

CARBON 15`S

My Son an I picked up 2 CARBON 15`s made by Professional Ordnance Inc., 4 or 5 years ago one a heavy barreled 22LR and the other skinney barreled 5.56. THE 22 lr shoots real well and the 5.56 will shoot under and 1 inch at a 100yrds. We have never had any problems with either of them. They are just great for carry around rifles they don`t weigh anything. I have used both to hunt with, 22LR great for small game, and the 5.56 I use walking around calling. I am getting old and fat so I use them more and more. Areal joy to carry. I hope you like yours as much as we like ours, and I`ll bet you will if you will just give it a chance. Thanks for letting me join your site. ken
