Carbon 15 Upper for Standard AR?

It seems like I read someplace that Professional Ordinance makes a Carbon 15 upper (similar to the top half of their Carbon 15 rifle) that works on a standard AR-15 lower receiver. It is supposed to be quite a bit lighter than most other AR configurations. I can't seem to find any information about this - only about the complete Carbon 15 rifles (which we can't buy here in California). Anybody know anything about these? Thanks.

Since, in my direct and indirect experience, Carbon 15 rifles have proven themselves to be less than totally reliable, why in the world would you do this? Virtually all the relibility issues are with the rifle's upper, and you'd have to use their proprietary bolt too, you're just asking for grief.

OTOH, if you really want a Carbon 15 upper, I'll be glad to sell you the one off my Carbon 15, maybe I could equip it with an upper that's a bit more reliable. :D

While I realize this isnt quite the same......fulton armory makes what they call a carbon upper(It seems to be the free floated hand guards), I had problems with a bushmaster comp rifle monday and a partner loaned me his tricked out ar......his had the 16" fluted stainless barrel with phamtom flash supressor, flattop configuration with a heads up red dot......the rifle was suprisingly lighter then I would have thought and accurate, even with the red dot.............fubsy.
