Cantilever scope mounted rifled slug barrels

Where I live we have a grand total of 5 days of gun deer season, and must use a shotgun. I have a hard time paying for a whole new gun (I like automatics) for only 5 days a year.

I have an 11-87 that I use to duck and squirrel hunt, and have wondered about the rifled slug barrels that I see all the time. Because it would not stay constantly mounted to the shotgun (hey, you have to take the barrel off to clean them anyway) does it maintain its zero when you take them off and put them back on.

Thanks

The barrels with the cantilever scope mount on the barrel will hold zero due to the fact that the scope is on the barrel and not the receiver. So no matter how often your remove the barrel - unless you drop it or something - the scope will stay in line with the bore.

i'm with mtn on this one. if the scope is mounted to the barrel and sighted in, it should stay that way unless it is dropped, hit, kicked, etc.
