Can't Find Flash Surpressor For Mossberg 500

Can somebody tell me where I might find one.

I've looked high and low ...

Can't find anybody that makes a flash suppressor for my Mossberg 500 with 20 inch barrel.

The only place I found has a web-site, but appears to have gone out of business. Niether the email address or phone number on this web-site work (Masden Manufacturing): http://www.mlode.com/~shotgun/

Bummer, because that is exactly what I was looking for.

Here's some pix of my shotgun. Note that the magazine tube is as long as the barrel ... and there is a brace between them:

Pretty sweet looking HD shotgun you have there. You might want to try Brownells because they seem to have everything. The thing of it is you are most likely going to have to tap the inside of the barrel yourself so that it can take a screw-in flash suppressor. Not to mention you can also then be able to use screw-in choke tubes and be able to add more versatility to the HD barrel.

I bought an Advanced Technology Shure Shot Hider. It def will not fit as marketed. I'm pretty handy tho and have access to some friends that are very good machinists. I see if I can modify it a bit to fit.

If not, no biggie. It was only 30 bux.

I'll let ya know.
 
what is this "Advanced Technology Shure Shot Hider" ?

I hope it isnt the thing that looks like a supressor/hider but it not supposed to come past the end of the barrel ?

I thought the ATI thing was only for those Rossi rifles, not shotguns. I could be wrong...

Is your shotgun a 500 or 590? I didnt think the 500 was able to take an extended tube...
 
Yes, that's the one. It's for a 500.

I don't intend to mount it as the OEM states. Plan to do some experimentation.

In the end, I may just use it as a guide to fabricate one with the help of a friend. It's really no where near long enough.
 
Some choke tubes are ported in a fashion that resembles a flash supressor.

Perhaps you could find one of those, and have your shotgun threaded for it.
 
Yep. Threaded Choke tube ... or surpressor, if I can find one. I think that's where I'll have to go.

Miscusi (or anybody). I pulled that plastic thing out of the trash. If anybody wants it just let me know. I'll mail it to ya. I'm trying to get into heaven someday. :)

I've got an 8 shot tube, so the barrel is in the way of pretty much anything that won't thread into it(or over it). The plastic thing would fit an 870 with smaller tube and give some cosmetic effect, tho. If anybody wants it.

My search continues ... in the screw-on choke tube direction ... which is prolly a lot more functional, anyway.
 
Those Phantoms look great! Anyone have any experience with them? And do you know if they can be used with shot, or just slugs?

Hey, how can you tell if those Phantom surpressors fit 12 ga?

It doesn't say on the page ... and I looked all over.
