Hello,
I am a newbie but I will try to sound inteligent. I have a twelve year old and he is starting to enjoy "bustin' clays". My problem is this: he is right handed and right-eye-dominant BUT he can not close his left eye independent of his right. I have the same genetic flaw but I am rt. handed and left-eye-dominant. I have read many threads about lefty vs. righty and eye dominance but have found nothing about an innability to wink with one eye or the other. He is comfortable handling long guns lefty, he watches me do it, but I hate to waste his GOOD eye. Is wearing an eye patch over his left eye OK or should I simply let him shoot lefty. I am looking to buy a used BPS 20g and have the barrel shortened to about 19 inches and the stock shortened to a 12 inch LOP.(He is small for his age) While I am on the subject, why does Browning ignore the youth market when it seems like every one else makes at least one gun designed for children. The Micro is for smaller folks, not kids. Thanks for any input.
