Cannons anyone?

I'm guessing this is the right forum for this...

Hey guys i was just curious as to what the federal laws and regulations were in regards to the ownership, purchase, production, transfer, possesion, use, etc. of a blackpowder cannon. That sounds like it would be a fun toy. Not that i'm consdering this too seriously, i'm just wondering...

Good Question!

I want one too. They have competitions for civil-war era cannons somewhere, I saw it on some shooting TV show.

Who's got that good information?

I can't tell you about the regs but I built a 1" bore swivel gun thats mounted on a tripod. Made it out of 3" coldroll steel, will shoot a 1200gr prb 300+ yards with
good accuracy with 300gr FFg bp, It's a blast to shoot.. (pun intended):D :D :D
It sure brought the neighbors out on the 4th of july, just shootin' blanks ha.ha.

Cannons?

Impact, here's the Cannon I want. But couldn't afford the powder or shot for it let alone the Big Gun...LoL!
Thought you'd like the Pic though...click on the thumbnail.

No federal regulations on muzzle loading cannons. However, you may be limited to 50 lbs of powder max before you have to get a special ammunition chest. BTW, 50 lbs goes fast when you're shooting 12 pdrs.
