CANNON SAFE- "To Change Your Combination"
"Note: A particular button can be pushed only once in establishing a new combination.
A. Open the safe and relock the lock.
B. Press the correct buttons in the proper order for your EXISTING combination.
C. Inside the box lid, on the end of the lock, there is a metal rod sticking out, covered by a metal tab. Using the tab, push the rod back into the lock as far as it will go.
d. Turn the knob LEFT (counter-clockwise) to "clear out" the existing combination.
E. Set the new combination by pressing the buttons firmly and deliberately in the desired sequence.
F. Turn the knob RIGHT (clockwise) to set your new combination into the mechanism. Turn the knob FULL LEFT (counter-clockwise) to lock the safe. Your new combination is now installed."
Those are the instructions from my instruction sheet from Cannon, for my Quick Safe. I suggest you write down your new combination somewhere... just in case. Not obvious, of course. Hope it helps.
