Canadian Competitions ?

Hey, just wondering if there are any Canadians here and if they might happen to know anything about regional/provincial competions. Specifically in Atlantic Canada, or Manitoba.
I'd be considered an absolute amature at the moment, I've never competed, don't belong to any clubs (as I can't find any in my area..so far) and I'm just trying to get some information as to what is out there that someone like me could get involved in.

It depends on what disciplines you're interested in; I know IPSC has a reasonably strong showing in the East, and they had the Nationals in New Brunswick a few years ago (it normally cycles east to west and back again). Canadiangunnutz can probably give you some leads on the different competitions being run.

I actually need to do a lot of reading I think, just to know what kind of competitions I'm interested in.
22lr matches aren't for me, (That would mean spending "big gun money" to buy a new small gun) lol
And overbuilt 30lb+ rifles, costing tens of thousands of dollars aren't interesting to me either.
But anything inbetween with factory deer/varmint/target rifles or similarly modded or custom built rigs would be to my interest....at any distance....scope or sight.....prone or from a bench.

"...any Canadians here..." We're everywhere. Including inside the U.S. government.
"...can't find any in my area..." Where are you?
"...regional/provincial competitions..." Shooting what? There's something for everybody.
"...Specifically in Atlantic Canada, or Manitoba..." Long way apart. Atlantic Canada is a big place.
The DCRA is one governing body through Provincial Rifle Associations. IPSC Canada is another.
