I just recieved some Canadian military Hi Power magazines and made an interesting discovery, they are drop free! I verified this in a '81 Hi-Power and a '94 Practical.
I was under the impression that all full capacity Hi-Power magazines were not drop free.
This is a wonderful discovery since I occasionally use my Practical as my carry gun.

Has anybody else noticed this?
 
Hello. All of the magazines are drop free, but some do not due to either the magazine "safety" holding them in or in some cases, the flat, sear spring in the rear of the magazine well can hold them. The Canadian Ingis magazines have been very good performers for me.
