Canada, Jamaica and American guns

Everything that is wrong in the world or in anybodys life is someone elses fault...

You see it on the news, on this Board, heaer it in conversation, whatever

HOLY CRAP is that one disgusting piece of writing.

It reads like a "poor me" list of things that OTHER people are doing to victimize pool little Jamaica.

First, they take no responsibility for guarding their own borders against smuggled weapons.

Second, they take no responsibility for raising lawless, violent, psychotic people who kill for money and whatnot.

Third, they blame "U.S. demand for drugs" for causing Jamaica pain.

They admit that there is a demand for guns to protect the drug traffickers, but rather than blame the drug traffickers for willfully breaking all sorts of laws, as well as committing murder, they blame the U.S. for wanting drugs.

If the Jamaicans are going to blame us for not keeping our guns out of their country,
it is perfectly fair of the U.S. to blame Jamaica for not keeping its drugs out of ours.

How do ya like them apples, you losers?!

No matter where a problem exists, it is always the US's fault.

Their country is awash in drugs because Americans want it.
Their country is awash in handguns because Americans smuggle it in.

They want it both ways!

If Canada blames the US for guns in Canada, let Canada pay to tighten security on their borders! Don't make Americans add tougher, ineffective, feel-good laws!

Thankfully, most of the dribble along this vein is largely falling on deaf ears or lodging in already wacko brains.

It's as if nobody outside the US has heard the term "Don't bite the hand that feeds you"

That author is full of crap.

Maybe Jamaica should do something about Jamaica's youth violence problem. Maybe they should check what's coming into their country, instead of merely insisting that other countries check what they are exporting. Heck, maybe they could even stop blaming the US for all of their problems and take a little responsibility.

I doubt that will happen, though.

It's amusing, but not surprising, to note that nobody has made mention of the fact that much of the crime, violence and gun deaths are attributable to Canada's, and Toronto's, large Jamaican community. Many of whom are there illegally.

The article points out that 50% of the illegal arms are coming from America but no mention is made of the origin of the remaining 50%. Where do they come from?
