I've got a Kimber Classic Stainless with night sights that I use for IPSC/USPSA. Before I bought this gun I was using my own home made 1911's.
I've had several instances where the disconnector hasn't gone up into the little hole in the slide before I pulled the trigger, of course then I couldn't pull the trigger. I'm really cranking out the rounds when this happens. If I shoot slower I never have the disconnector problems.
One of the reasons I bought this Kimber was so I could drive it real fast at Ipsc/USPSA shoots. Is it possiable to crank on the trigger too fast for the slide and disconnector to go home on a Kimber?
Any suggestions?
The trigger in this Kimber is just fabulous and I hate to mess with it.
