Your friend's revolver appears to bear the inscription 'MAMBA' but it appears nearly identical to the Windcator series made by Weihrauch of Germany and currently imported by European American Armory. Taking a SWAG here but the MAMBA was likely an Arminus (also by Weihrauch) imported by Navy Arms at one time.

While not Colts or S&W's, the Weihrauch/Arminus/Windcator revolvers are decent guns. Check the current price of the Windcator and deduct accordingly for weird stamp, condition etc. I wouldn't go over half of Windcator street price myself.

This is a Windicator I was trying to sell for an elderly lady in my neighborhood.
If he wants more than 250$,,, RUN A WAY.
Personally that’s too much.

Those guns look like good ones FOR YOUR OPPONENT TO HAVE!

You, on the other hand, should be able to get a much better one!

I wouldn't want one, at all - but I suppose YMMV, depending upon what YOUR tradestock is (& worth).

I certainly wouldn't advise swapping a good or equal condition American-made firearm for it.

The thing is, if/when you're ever dis-satisfied with something like that, you'll find it a white elephant to get shut of - unless you can find some innocent that salivitates when they see ".357" on a gun.
