Here is a quote from the 5-23 Huntsville Times:
"Green was charged with reckless endargement and Reed with possession of an unregistered firearm."

Can they charge somebody for possession of an unregistered firearm? Last time I heard we didn't have to register our firearms. I've got a feeling this is another media goof-up...

Sounds like a goof up unless he lives somehwere that they do have true firearms registration like in New York City.
You would be surprised at how many reporters don't know which end of the tube that the round comes out of. ;)

My favorite is when a reporter back east or from California refers to fireams in other states as "unregistered." Ah, they all are. We don't have to.
