Can I use a Glock rear sight tool on a 1911?

I already have a Glockmeister rear sight tool and was wondering if it can also be used to change the rear sights on a Springfield Mil Spec.

If it fits and aligns up, why not. Now it your doing a Kimber rear sight, good luck as a 10 ton press may be needed.
