Hey there!

Well, I saw your second post, and I have more time now, so I thought I'd say a few things.

First, for $390, I doubt that you could get a new gun with night sights (at least one worth buying). However, I have an EAA Witness in 10mm that I just love. I had some problems with it initially, but soon found out that an old, defective magazine follower wazs to blame. An e-mail to EAA had a new follower sent to me free of charge. No problems since.

You stated in your second thread that you wanted SA or DA/SA, and palm swell if 1911 design. I REALLY think that you should try the Witness, or as another person suggested the CZ line. The reason for this is that you can choose to carry the gun either DA first shot or in SA "Cocked and Locked". Personally, I have never used the double action trigger of my Witness--I always use it single action because the trigger reach is a bit long for my stubby little hands. Speaking of hands, the grip is one of hte most ergonomic that I've ever felt, and I've felt a whole bunch.

If your looking for a .45, another option to look at would be the Ruger P-97. Reliable and accurate and not very expensive.--Night sights should also be attainable.

Good luck

I will second that witness 10 comment!. Mine was 285 out the door and for an extra 80 bucks I picked up 5 more magazines (good discount at my dealer).

I think my witness is more accurate then my g20, and I enjoy shooting it more also. No gripes on the g20, just after putting 600 rnds down it on thursday, I find the vibration down the trigger a bit un-natural. Also, I still cannot get over the "squishy" feel of the polymer.

My witness has a great trigger, is more accurate then I am and loves those hot loads!

ok lets up this to $420, i decided not to be cheap and go over 400.

great suggestions all, the witness feels good in my hand, and i do like it alot, really looking at it hard.

a few more details, this gun wont be concealed carry or carryed off the ranch for a long time, not for that.
just want something bigger than my 9mm.

Tons of used S&W federal guns out there for that price or less.
They come in 3 sizes and configurations so one of them may fit you.
I think they are worth a look for the price.
