Can anyone tell me what this is?

I am going to guess Glenfield model 25.

I have an old Marlin model 25 that has a very similar magazine and receiver. But the safety and bolt on my Marlin is different.
I have seen rifles very similar to the Marlins marked as Glenfields.

Going by the target type rear sight and the warped plastic trigger guard, I'll say a Mossberg, can't say which model. A little bronze wool rubbed on the barrel should reveal the make and model. These photos posted on the rimfire website under Mossberg also should gain some info. GW

I'm also voting Glenfield model 25.

That silver trigger kind of sticks out to me but it doesn't have a scope groove or safety.

I think it is one of the Marlin 80 series.

These were made from the 1930s to the 1970s and had a lot of submodels.

I have a 80G which had no serial number.

Some earlier models had a peep without any scope grooves.

The rear of the striker and that magazine look the same as mine.

By the look of the trigger guard and the peep sight I would say a 80DL 1940 to 1965.
