Can anyone tell me about the Bersa and FEG .22LR's?

I would really like to get one of those Beretta .22LR's but at four or five hundred bucks? I'll pass.

So I won't pay the price for the Beretta or even a Walther TPH. However, I still want a small, inexpensive, easily packable .22 for hiking, camping, and general outdoor activities. I don't need a target gun but would like good accuracy and reliability. I already have a Ruger MK II, a S&W 17, a Rossi small frame .22 revolver, a Colt Frontier Scout, and a NAA mini revolver so there is no need to suggest Rugers, revolvers and such.

What I want to know is who has the Bersa and/or FEG and what are your impressions of them. Are they reliable or do the misfeed alot. What kind of accuracy do you get.

I saw a Bersa at a gun show a while back for $130 (I think this was a good price)and passed it up because I'd never seen them before. Now I can't seem to find one anywhere. The FEG's go for about the same price I believe.

I appologize for rambling on so much and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've owned a BERSA 23 22LR pistol since '92. I've put over 16,000 [ 16,710 if memory serves w/o my records being in front of me ] and it has never malfunctioned, NOT ONCE. It's trigger is OK in SA, pretty good in DA. It shoots to the sights and is accurate enough to shoot blackbirds out to 25-30 yards. The BERSA pistols are very well made out of good steel, and fit together very well. They are the most underrated line of guns imported into the US of A.,IMNSHO.
As an aside, their 380ACP pistols have been just as good for me; had 7, still got 4.
The FEG 22 pistol looks ok but I've never had the chance to shoot one extensively. TM

I have a Bersa, model 223DA, in .22 and it is a good little gun. Mine is all steel, with a blued finish and quite accurate. It has a windage adjustable rear sight and stippled (brazilian hardwood) grips.

It is reliable with most ammunition tho it doesn't care alot for truncated cone bullet shapes, such as Remington Vipers.

Make mine lean, mean, and 9x19!

I have a 139 dollar FEG Mark II from KYIMPORTS. It was new, beautiful finish, no machining marks. Looks like a Walther for much less cost. Shoots more accurate than any other handgun Iv'e shot at close distances. Shooting Stingers or other hypervolocity rounds are the best, but rem hunting packs feed reliably. DA can be worked on by shortening a loop or two off the spring in the grip. SA is excellent.

Why settle for the FEG or Bersa if it's not what you want? It surely can't be due to the cost of the Beretta--the neat little Beretta .22 can be had for $170-200 ALL DAY LONG.

Try Gunsamerica.com--there are a few there.
