Can anyone recommend a Green Laser for a .223 rifle?

You get what you pay for. A $50 laser will at best lose its settings and be useless and if you need it for a SD condition it can be dangerous to you. If you need one you can count on get the LaserMax green rail laser. It is currently the best on the market. I think Opticsplanet.com had them for about $290.
I think it is time to stop supporting Communist China and helping to build up their military while knocking down our economy.
 
I picked up a NCstar green laser at a previous gun show for $70 from a vendor.
I've yet to use the laser on my gun including zeroing it of course. I read should be operated in conditions of 69-95 degrees I think it was.. Just wonder if I buy a mount to have it underneath my barrel if it will transfer too much heat to laser to have it function.. :confused:

nice, I think I saw a guy buying one at the last gun show I went to.. starting to wish I got that one instead.. I got a $70 Ncstar one while back ago.. haven't used it on the gun yet though for testing. It's only 5mW though unlike that one which is 15-25 :eek:

I picked up one at a gun show a couple of weeks ago that is pretty awesome. Easy to see in bright daylight and easy to adjust as it has external knobs similar to scopes. Hundred or so rounds through the XCR didn't throw it off one bit. I paid $120 for it and I am very satisfied with it. It is made by TBI. Got the guy's number and I'm going to order another for the AR.

I am not a lawyer but that would make me kind of uneasy about "integrating" it with my rifle. I skimmed the CFR sections, it seems like as soon as it is strapped on the rifle may become "a product or system of YOUR OWN design", and you would be personally responsible for compliance with all applicable laws/regulations.

How exactly are the laserlaws enforced?

A really bright doodad doesn't seem like something worth scrambling the troops to go after, but anything's possible these days.

If this is an established loophole that nobody cares about, I want one. If it will cause the mysterious lasercops to take a chunk out of my hide, I'll pass.

If you find an NCStar anything that holds it zero or continues to work in a reliable manner after more than 300 rounds of 5.56, let us know. So far I've read of it happening; but haven't ever actually seen it with my own eyes.
