Can anyone Identify?

This is a gun I inherited and I was just looking for a confirmation for the experts. I believe it's an 1861 Navy Colt (replica), can anyone confirm that by the pictures.

It appears to be a brass framed replica of an 1851 Colt Navy.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Colt's produced any with brass frames, so this is probably really a replica of one of several of the copies produced in the Confederacy.

Markings

EIG NAVY on top of barrel. Shield with crossed swords and star above on right side of barrel and frame. PN with star above on right side of barrel and frame. Roman numerals XXV on right side of frame. ITALY with ''EIG crosshairs'' on bottom strap. Capital B with barb inside stylized G on bottom strap. Serial Number? 26XXX on bottom of frame.
 
Eig was a big importer. The gun was made in Italy; the PN is the Italian black powder proof. Italian repros range from quite good to miserable.
