Can anyone identify this shotgun?

This is a family photo taken in the late '30s, and I'm curious about what it is. Nothing fancy, I expect -- money was tight back then.

Yes, it is a double barrel shotgun, sorry the lack of detail prevents any one from doing anything but WAG's Sorry about that.

big

One can only guess, but the breech end of that double looks enormous to me.

Wouldn't surprise me that's some type of 10 gauge.

The picture is pretty fuzzy, but if it was taken in the USA, it might be a Remington Model 1894 or 1900 shotgun.

The receiver looks flat on the sides with a right angle to the bottom of the receiver. No other US manufacturer comes to mind with such simple design. The fore end is also the general shape of a Rem SxS.

It could also be a European gun (maybe England - a Birmingham A&D boxlock).

The picture could also be so fuzzy that you can't see any details of the receiver.

I don't know what the gun is, but I've done what I can to enhance the photo. Maybe this will help someone else. There's not too much to work with. If you want to send me a bigger file, I could try to do a better enhancement on it.
