I've seen alot worse. At least you didn't try to paint a complicated pattern from contrasting colors on it.

I would say it looks pretty good! Not overdone, which seems to me to be a beginners mistake (just from looking at the stuff people post on here, I've never tried myself).

Thanks for the input. Not "overdoing" it was one of my goals based on what I've seen done in the past.

Looks good , I noticed that your rings are pretty close together on that huge scope . I think an extension ring on the front would support the scope more evenly . IMHO . Is that a T/C Venture ?

This is a fairly inexpensive rig, which is why I chose it for a guinea pig. It's a Remington 710 in 270 Win with a BSA Platinum 8-32x44 scope. I bought a "Winchester" brand bipod at Wally World for the coolness factor. It's a good shooter but I'm not too afraid to play with it a little.
