Need funny photos for website,

handguncontrolinc.org

Even those not directly related to gun control can be useful. Thanks for any/all you got (links are fine if you can't post the pic!)

That is one hillarious page.

Might I make one suggestion? A link to the salient points of District of Columbia v. Warren in the "911, it's our best hope" portion.

Three women were attacked in their home and called 911 for assistance. They were assured that help was on the way. Unfortunately, the help never showed up. They were subjected to all sorts of brutalization for several hours -- not a pretty sight.

They sued the local authorities and lost. The DC Court of Appeals (I think), through the Warren case, if I remember correctly, held that the police are under no affirmative duty to protect the public.

I especially liked OJ's Corner.

Dizz,

And I thought the photo would show someone at the gate that had missed the flight and showing the Concorde taxiing away or taking off in the background....

Remember, just because you are not paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you!

Simonov,

What about that infamous pic of Al Gore in 'Nam with the M-16 pointing at his head as he adjusts the sling???

Now that's funny!!!!

Personally, I think the '911' section needs links to Pizza Hut, Domino's and Papa John's, so that the nice folks can order a pizza at the same time they call the cops...

And before I get flamage here - I've called the cops several times since I moved to a metro area:

1) witnessed drive-by - called before last round was fired - cops showed up 20 minutes later, didn't want to get out of car - gave me a hard time, especially after I showed 'em the fired brass.

2) witnessed hit and run accident - cops showed up 20-30 minutes later. We gave 'em a tag number, and excellent description. Never did hear if they caught the girl.

3) was mugged, and the first set of cops that showed (about 10-15 minutes) up told me that I wasn't their problem, that I was on the wrong side of the line. Called the cops from the right precinct. They showed up in about 15-20 minutes. Never mug a graphic artist - the guy got 30 years - he's probably out already.

4) had a moving truck broken into. They didn't even want to come by - they just wanted to take a report on the phone.

5) while testing a dialing script, I inadvertently had the computer dial 911. They were at my door in about 15 minutes.

Er... I'd change that question to "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" and come up with some new answers... As it reads right now, it wrongly portrays NRA folks, whereas if switched to the "stopped beating" question, it is obvious that it's a rigged question...

Bogie,
It's a rigged question now, notice it never gives you the option to say that you NEVER or have never beaten your wife. Any answer means you've beaten her at some point. Besides, REAL HCI members would never make it sound as if an NRA member had actually STOPPED doing something illegal or immoral. :) It's supposed to portary them as "wrong", that's what HCI does best. ;)

BTW, I like the idea about the 911 linking to pizza delivery places! :D

How about a picture of the typical HCI member in "Mr. MaGoo" fashion. Vehicle has to be a minivan with soccor ball target, bumper sticker that says "this car unarmed" background shows bad guys doing all sorts of evil things and van about to hit a road block of well armed bad guys with a sign that says "your money and your life"! Or how about my "bad baby" post of a few days ago on Carnivor?
